Shannon Elizabeth, star of "American Pie" film,bought several pieces, including Nelson's original art entitled "American Pie" which he customized for her. Nelson has helped Shannon's animal charity raise thousands of dollars through silent auctions with his artwork.

for his youngest daughter, Stella.
He was a genuinely wonderful, good-hearted man
who died suddenly only a few months after this photo was taken.
He was an amazing comedian, who became a piece of
pop culture history after "Three's Company." 
Nelson was honored that his work made the always hilarious Ritter laugh. 
He will be missed, but not forgotten.
